Shooting beautiful miss Helsinki 2011 Elina Tervo. Plan of the day was Nadi to shoot Elina's new fitness competition shots and me to help out.

This shooting day was surprisingly different from the previous one. The shooting location makes difference, from studio to apartment. Overall this time it was more exiting just because I held my camera more with me. Plus Nadi got his old video cam for me. When I'm trough with exporting and editing I will post some experimental and fashion filmish footage here. Just wait ;)

Communication! That's interesting. I haven't realized before how much model's personality matters. From viewer's aspect looking trough photographs doesn't tell  from the actual shooting situation. How photographer directs and how model poses and how communication between them works. Trust between the model and photographer first of all. And mood. Shooting situation includes a lot more talking and much more laughing that I could have imagined. There is time and space behind the scenes - various ideas, different experiments and many beautiful photos (at least for my eye) that model and photographer very brutally delete. "Pose was too up" or "I don't like the lines" "This is not in balance" or things like that. But afterward looking selected shots, I see they were right.
